Is it potato time? Yes, it is.

I like potatoes.

I just found this website whilst searching for a photo of a potato. This person made this website. This person is a lord.

I was looking for a photo of a potato because I have a new story up today at The Pygmy Giant. The story is called Mash and it has a potato-theme. It is also the story I talked about here.

I wish I had one of these.

Another strong and well-written piece. I am so impressed by your skill and ability to control such succinct and tightly-knit sentences... making every word count. I also enjoyed the humour and conversational style of the narrator. Super effort!

Top Potato!

Your blog and stories make me miss real tinterwebs. I'm on my mobile. The writing is tiny.

What's a hassleback potato? It sounds tasty.

Cath, thank you for your kind, kind words.

Jenn, potatoes are tops indeed! have you had a go on the potato measurer? oh, it wouldn't work on a phone properly - when you get your tinterwebs you must try it.

How to make hassleback potatoes:

1. place new potato in dip of wooden spoon.

2. cut thin slices down the potato, widthways as far as the knife will go.

3. place lots of these potatoes in oven tray, drizzle with olive oil, and cook in hot oven for 30 mins.

Hassleback potatoes - the delicious lovechild of the jacket and the roast potato.

Cheesy Peeps!!!

We are having these for Christmas dinner now. I will let you know how they go.

Who invented that? Was it you?

I am amazed and exhilarated.

I has hasslebacks again. They are still good. I put garlic and rosemary on and in them this time.

I'm considering hassleback variations - can you suggest any?

I tried them again. Garlic and sage leaves. Less successful.

Although I cooked them cut side down for the first ten minutes. That made them extra crunchy and nice on top.

I love hasslebacks.
